  • Etisalat Nigeria To Invest $500m To Gain Market Share : In an effort to gain market share in Nigeria, the Nigerian unit of the UAE-based mobile phone operator, Etisalat, on Thursday said plans are afoot to spend $500 million in network expansion in the Nigerian market this year.
  • Cummins invests N395bn in captive power plants : Cummins Incorporated is investing about N395 billion($250 million) in power  related investments in the country over a period of five years in Joint Ventures operation to provide captive power to industries to design, construct, operate as well as maintain gas-fuelled power plants in the country.
  • Guri LG expends N113m on projects : THE Guri Local Government Area of Jigawa State has expended over N113 million in  executing capital projects in the area to improve the socio-economic lives of the people.

  • Aliko Dangote to build $8bn oil refinery in Nigeria : Africa’s richest man, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, plans to invest up to $8bn to build a Nigerian oil refinery with a capacity of around 400,000 barrels a day by late 2016, the tycoon told Reuters on Tuesday.

  • UNICEF Receives $500,000 From Dangote Foundation : Africa’s richest man Alhaji Aliko Dangote has donated $500,000 through the Dangote Foundation to the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) to support efforts at managing recent measles outbreak affecting many states in Nigeria.
  • Canada to help lift education in Ogun : Canadian High Commissioner to Nigeria, Mr. Chris Cooter, has assured of his country’s preparedness to support Ogun State in the education sector to help improve the standard.
