  • Nigeria Gets $1.1bn Chinese Loan : Nigeria has secured a $1.1billionChinese low-interest loan to develop airports and hydro power plants, Finance Minister Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala said yesterday.
  • StarTimes TV network invests N20bn in Nigeria : StarTimes, owners of the NTA-Star TV Network joint Venture said on Tuesday that it has invested over N20 billion in Nigeria since 2010 that it commenced business in the country.
  • Dangote port operations plan fresh N9.7bn investment in berth expansion : Greenview Development Nigeria Limited (GDNL), the port arm of Dangote Group in charge of the ‘Terminal E’ of Lagos Port Complex (LPC) Apapa, has submitted fresh request to the management of Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) to enable it commence construction work on the proposed berth 21 in the terminal.
  • RSL to invest N200m in proposed mortgage refinancing company : Resort Savings & Loans’ (RSL) yesterday disclosed that it is set to invest N200 million in the Federal Government’s proposed Mortgage Refinancing Company (MRC), which will support mortgage originators-Primary Mortgage Banks (PMBs) and Deposit Money Banks (DMBs) - to increase mortgage lending by refinancing their loan portfolios.

  • SMEDAN to create 250,000 jobs : The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) is to create 250,000 direct and indirect new jobs in Katsina State from 2013 to 2015.
