Investments in Nigeria

  • Canada invests $18m on polio eradication in Nigeria : The Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) has allocated $18 million to polio eradication in Nigeria through a grant that will support surveillance and response system, increase targeted polio vaccination campaigns and strengthen the routine immunization system.
  • We are investing billions in barite mining – Chicason Group : Engr. Linus Iluzue is the group managing director of RIMCO Ltd, Promocare Industrial and Chemical Limited and AZ Petroleum, all members of Chicason Group of companies based in the  South-east industrial hub of Nnewi,  Anambra state. The group is the second highest employer of labour after the state government with about 3, 500 employees.
  • RegCharles Finance invests $130,000.00 in bottled water SME : In furtherance of her empowerment of MSME in the real sector of the Nigerian economy, RegCharles Finance and Capital Limited has injected a long term investment of $130,000.00 into Sarvil Limited using a mixture of debt and micro-equity to expand their business, upgrade their production facilities, improve the distribution networks and facilities.

  • Nigeria: Borno - NEMA to Build 250 Houses for Flood Victims : The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) had said it had delivered building materials to support Borno State Government in the construction of 250 houses for communities that were displaced by the 2012 flood in the state.
  • US To Build $250m Fertilizer Plant In Edo : Arrangements are in top gear for the establishment of a $250 million fertiliser plant in Edo State, southsouth Nigeria by the government of the United States of America.

  • Nigeria: Sokoto Sponsors 100 Students to Canadian Varsity : Sokoto State is to sponsor 100 students to the Canadian University in Dubai for various degree programmes. Following Governor Aliyu Wamakko's one-week visit to Dubai, officials of the varsity are expected in the state in the next two weeks.
