  • Starcomms gets $210m Capital investment : Nov.1 (PREMIUMTIMES) — In the wake of several financial challenges, Starcomms Plc. on Wednesday, announced that it has reached an agreement with Capcom Limited to provide it with a capital investment of cash and assets independently valued at $210m.
  • France to boost rubber production in Nigeria : PURSUANT to a November 2000 bilateral agreement signed between Nigeria and France on sustainable management of resources and development of the non-oil sector of the Nigerian economy, the Agence Francaise Development (AFD) is set to commence a multi-billion dollar investment facility to promote the growth of rubber production in Nigeria.
  • Nigeria offers $650bn infrastructure opportunity : A N102 trillion ($650 billion) investment opportunity exists in instrastructure accross the energy, power and transport sectors of the Nigerian economy, according to research firm Frost & Sullivan.

She won for her novel, ‘On Black Sister’s Street‘. The prize, worth $100, 000, was announced yesterday at an event in Lagos.

  • I make tricycles to assist fellow cripples : Notwithstanding his physical condition of Alhassan Abdullahi, he is not only self employed but an employer of labour. He is into welding business in Sokoto and has four employees. He produces crutches, tricycles and other supporting machines used by the physically challenged. Alhassan also makes iron gates, burglary proofs and such other items used in the building industry.
