  • Canada to invest in solid minerals sector : Chris Cooter, the Canadian High Commissioner to Nigeria, on Tuesday, revealed that his country would collaborate with the federal government to development the country's solid minerals sector.
  • US to invest in C/River solid minerals : United States of American Ambassador to Nigeria, Terence P. McCutley has said that his country is interested in investing resources to develop the solid minerals sector in Cross River State, just as he has confirmed that they would participate in this year’s carnival in Calabar.
  • PowerCell plans $2m investment in UPS equipment : An indigenous power solutions company, Powercell Limited, said it plans to invest $2million in Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) equipment to ensure that corporate organisations and individuals don’t lose data as a result of power failure or fluctuations.

  • FG to establish 6 trauma centres : AS part of measures to tackle emergencies in the country, the Federal Ministry of Health has concluded arrangement to establish six first-class trauma centres in the six geo-political zones in the country before the end of the year.
  • Ekiti commissions 100 renovated schools : No fewer than 100 public secondary schools in Ekiti State which underwent renovation have been delivered and handed over to the management of the schools. This was contained in a statement by Olayinka Oyebode, Chief Press Secretary to Governor Kayode Fayemi.
